1977 to 1978 First fulltime job as a packager then a machine operator in a caramel candy factory. Learned pipe threading during the off seasons to fix the water and steam pipes used to cook the caramel. Still like chocolate caramel but don't know if I want anymore plain caramel ever again.

1978 to 1979 Started as a cart mule at the pottery division of this company, manually pulling greenware pottery to the kilns and empty carts back. Moved to the wood division as shipping clerk and was OSHA certified on the fork lift. Was moved to the woodworking section to operate machinery. Experienced with routers, table saws, band saws, rough cut saws, double head planers and their setup.

1979 to 1981 Machine mechanic at small cigar factory. Maintaining and setting up cellophane wrapping machines for cigar packs and boxes.

1981 Short time as flower delivery person for a florist and as a photo-unit operator at a book layout company. Opaqued a lot of negatives.

1981 to 1986 Worked on the state road crew fixing pot holes, installing guard rail and doing road maitenance. Was certified on frontend loader, dump truck and 5 ton roller. Got big muscles and a tan.

1986 to 1989 Trained emotionally and mentally challenged clients janitorial skills while maintaining the building plus doing computer support. Staff was usually mentally challenged as well when it came to the computers - had to restore the C:> drive a few times after they formatted it by mistake.

1989 to 1993 First real computer job. Was the computer service guy, then the service manager with staff, then part owner. Took all the necessary Novell classes for certification but never had the chance to take the tests. Learned about closely held companies and business partners with addiction issues.

1993 to 2000 IT Manager at an accounting firm training staff, running, maintaining, installing hardware, software and networks. Lot of Novell and Windows. Being one computer guy amongst 30+ accountants is like walking around in a herd of cows -- need to listen to them all day, they can't understand what you're talking about and still have to deal with the cow patties.

1993 to Present For some reason I started my own computer company. Fixing, consulting and selling computer stuff. I'm glad I have a good sense of humor...
